The Ontario Tourism Awards of Excellence celebrate success and recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to Ontario’s tourism industry. Awards finalists and winners are celebrated at the Ontario Tourism Awards Gala at the 2026 Ontario Tourism Summit.

Tourism Marketing & Travel Media Awards of Excellence

Celebrate the excellence and innovation of those who contribute to Ontario’s tourism industry through impactful tourism partnerships, marketing activities, and media relations provincially, nationally, and internationally.

Indigenous Tourism Award

This award by Indigenous Tourism Ontario (ITO) recognizes an organization, individual or experience that has demonstrated a commitment to the development and promotion of authentic, cultural Indigenous experiences for visitors to Ontario.

Sustainable Tourism Award

This award sponsored by GreenStep Solutions, recognizes an organization, individual or initiative that has made a viable and maintainable contribution to the practice and promotion of sustainable tourism in Ontario.

Culinary & Agritourism Award

This award by the Culinary Tourism Alliance (CTA) honours a business or organization that provides an outstanding, authentic consumer experience by exemplifying Ontario's foodways, highlighting local ingredients, and strengthening Ontario’s standing as a premier destination for high-quality food and drink experiences.

Rainbow Registered Award

This award by the Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce (CQCC) recognizes a business or organization that demonstrates a sustained commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, while upholding best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Air Canada Future Leaders Award

Presented by Air Canada, this award recognizes students who have made meaningful contributions to Canada’s vibrant tourism industry.

Doug Smith Award

This award supports the next generation of tourism leadership. It’s open to post-secondary students pursuing hospitality, tourism, culinary, or business — and who aspire to work in finance. Named in honour of Doug Smith, former CFO at Nieuport Aviation.
